Year 12-13 students receive reports every three weeks. Derived Grade Exam results are provided in early in Term 4. The first report is published by Week 5 Term 1, the last one at the end of Term 3.
Year 11 students receive reports every three weeks, along with summary publications of curriculum grade-related subject grades at the end of Semesters 1 and 2. The first report is published by Week 5 Term 1, and the last version mid Term 4.
Year 9 & 10 students receive reports every three weeks, along with summary publications of curriculum grade-related subject grades at the end of Semesters 1 and 2. The first report is published by Week 5, Term 1, and the last one at the end of Term 4.
Wh膩nau may request individual progress updates at any time from the Year Level Tutor or Dean.
Whan膩u - Kaiako interviews are held to provide an opportunity to discuss each student鈥檚 progress with course teachers. Students are encouraged to attend these evenings with their whan膩u. Typical timings for interviews throughout the year are:
Late Term 1: Year 9 to 13
Early Term 3: Year 12 & 13
End of Term 3: Year 9 to 11
Whan膩u will be individually contacted if there is any concern about a student's progress or behaviour. Likewise, whan膩u should feel free to contact teachers if they have any concerns.
Year 9 & 10 have assessments throughout the year. These are in the form of projects, assignments, portfolios, practical or theory tests.
- Year 10 students will sit the national digital NCEA Literacy - reading and Numeracy digital exams.
*Year 11 students have school assessments similar to Year 9 & 10 throughout the year, as well as the national digital NCEA Literacy - writing exam.
*Year 12 and 13 students have derived grade (practice) exams throughout the year and external NCEA examinations in November/December.
* Recommendations for some Year 12-13 courses may be related to assessment results from the previous year (refer to particular course recommendations)
