Houses

Houses have part of Lincoln's culture since 1959 when the houses of Fitzgerald, Tod, Wakefield and Godley were introduced. However, in 1979 the House system was replaced by various student council groups. In 2006, Houses were reestablished. Since that time we have built a strong and vibrant House system. Everyone belongs to one of six Houses and has the opportunity to participate in a range of house events over the year. These include Athletics Day, 碍墨-辞-谤补丑颈, Swimming, Lip-sync, Cross-country, Multi-sports and more!

Our house system is about fostering relationships, belonging, and school spirit. Each house represents a taonga species and embodies unique values that inspire and connect our students.

Each house logo represents values from M膩ori culture and celebrates natural elements. Through house events, students come together to form connections.

Students are encouraged to wear their House colours and dressing up in colourful costumes can often win house points. At the end of the year the top house wins the 好色导航 House Shield and can claim massive bragging rights!

All staff members are also in a house and keenly help organise and also participate in events. Student House captains and teacher House Leaders coordinate the House, run events, and encourage involvement.

As Houses are also strongly associated with Linc classes, there is an ideal chance to develop and thrive off house spirit.

Siblings are typically placed in the same House, fostering a legacy of House participation, pride, and banter.
