The Junior Impact Team comprises a group of passionate Year 9 & 10 膩konga who work alongside a small team of Year 11 rangatahi leaders to design and run one impactful campaign each term. The team focuses on taking action on issues that matter to 膩konga, from raising awareness about mental health to reducing plastic waste.
The group aims to have one representative from each Linc class on the team, and meets regularly to plan, collaborate, and reflect. Campaigns are guided by a clear framework that takes 膩konga through the stages of planning, design, launch, and evaluation, helping them build real leadership skills along the way.
The mahi of the Junior Impact Team is grounded in the four pou of sustainability: social, environmental, cultural, and economic, so 膩konga are encouraged to think broadly about the impact of their ideas on the wider kura community.
